Visual and Performing Arts
Art and Advanced Art Middle school art will be a little different this year. Art classes will be integrated with the HAL class.
This simply means that the students will be learning about the art of the time period which they are studying. They
will be completing activities and projects which focus around the concepts and trends of that time period. It will be
an enjoyable time in which we will engage in Socratic Seminars and discussions. Each student will be given a daily grade
(which will consist of being on time, prepared for class and participation) as well as a project grade per quarter. Advanced Art will take place during the Creative Arts elective time on Tuesday afternoons.
In this class, students will be given the opportunity to explore different media while creating beautiful pieces of artwork.

Club will be meeting Wednesdays from 3:00-4:15. October 13th Drama Club will perform a skit in chapel. They will also have
a performance during the Christmas program.
